Questions, answered.
What is Meldio?
Meldio turns written content into professional multi-voice audio experiences. Creators upload dialogue or narrative content, assign voices to characters, optionally add their own music, and generate a polished, shareable audio experience - one guided workflow instead of a production chain.
What kinds of content does it work with?
Any dialogue or written narrative content: plays and musicals, screenplays, books, podcast scripts, training scenarios, patient education, sales rehearsals, skits, and more. If it is written, Meldio can help make it heard.
Does Meldio write or generate content?
No, by design. Your content and your authorship stay yours: Meldio performs exactly the script you provide and never generates or rewrites your material.
Who owns the content and the audio?
You do. Meldio is creator-first: content stays creator-owned, rights stay with you, and Meldio presents your work rather than owning it.
How are voices assigned to characters?
Meldio identifies the characters in your content and proposes voice assignments, which you confirm. Assignments stay consistent, so a narrator or recurring character sounds the same across a whole series.
Can I control how lines are delivered?
Yes, with performance directives: 19 built-in inline cues like *(whispering)*, *(angry)*, or *(tender)* that shape the vocal delivery and are never spoken aloud.
Can I add music?
Yes, as an optional step. Upload your own background music or song excerpts and Meldio sequences them with the performed dialogue. You can also skip music entirely.
Is my unreleased work kept private?
The workflow is private by design, with protected development. Unreleased scripts, confidential training material, and pre-launch campaigns stay yours and stay private.
What does the output sound like?
Listen for yourself: the demo page has a founder-interview piece produced with the exact workflow described above - multi-voice casting, music, and automated assembly.
